"THE DAVE RAMSEY SHOW" CELEBRATES 15 YEARS
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Monday, June 25 to Friday, June 29, "The Dave Ramsey Show" will celebrate 15 years on the radio. Hosted by best-selling author, Dave Ramsey, the live radio talk show focuses on life, love and relationships and how they happen to revolve around money. The show began in June 1992 on flagship station WWTN 99.7 FM in Nashville. Today, the show can be heard on more than 300 radio stations and boasts more than three million listeners weekly.
"The show has come a long way since beginning on WWTN FM which was in bankruptcy at the time," said Bill Hampton, executive vice president. "We've been independently syndicating the show for only seven years but we've experienced rapid growth in the number of radio stations airing the show and significant growth in the number of loyal fans."
Listeners from across the country call in daily to ask Ramsey about: how to stop fighting with their spouse, teach their kids about money, save for retirement, kick a gambling habit and other life issues they are struggling with. Popular segments include "plasectomies" and "Debt Free Day" where listeners call in to tell Ramsey how much debt they have paid off and that they are now DEBT FREE!
