We are completing the Financial Peace University home study and loving it. My husband and I both lost our jobs within three weeks of each other. However, since starting this process, we have our $1,000 emergency fund and have paid off three of our smaller cards. We have a long way to go, but no more credit cards for us. I love the feeling of going to the grocery store with cash! Even my three-year old and five-year old are on board, using their money for things they want at consignment stores or yard sales. My five-year-old daughter calls coupons "free money."
We have a long road ahead of us—very long. But I feel free already just by implementing some very simple practices that I wish someone would had told me about a long time ago. We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
