A True Rags to Riches Story!

"Money is a wonderful servant but a terrible master," says 72-year-old Terry.

This retired teacher grew up on a farm in Minnesota and never made more than $50,000 per year in her career. Today, her net worth is $1.4 million.

She credits Dave’s teaching and the guidance of friend who told her to invest in mutual funds years ago. Terry says she needed to overcome her “poverty mentality” and realize she was more than just a kid who barely made it through high school and flunked out of college her first year.

"You can change," she says. "But you need to get a mentor and believe you can do it—and you need to get a plan and a goal."

It’s not about your income, Terry says. It’s about your mind-set.
