Church Going in Debt?

Dave encourages Jean to approach her church with grace and mercy, as they discuss how the church is going further into debt with its building project.

QUESTION: Jean asks how they can remain faithful to their church, which is not making wise decisions about its finances.  They owe $450,000 on their current property, they're $100,000 under budget for the year and they're looking to BUILD.  What's the best way to approach this?

ANSWER: I would start with grace and mercy.  If you come in barking and yelling no one will listen to you.  Wait your turn in the next church meeting and then firmly reiterate your stance.  Your church needs to hear your perspective on the situation.
