Is A Maintenance Agreement Worth It?
So what's the deal with a maintenance agreement on a NordicTrack; do we need it or not?
QUESTION: Listener wants to buy a 5-year maintenance agreement on a NordicTrack that covers maintenance and parts. Are maintenance agreements ever worth it, especially for someone who is not a handyman-type person? Dave gives all the reasons why not.
ANSWER: No, it’s not worth it. A high percentage of NordicTracks end up being a coat hanger. Even if you use it and break it, you can hire someone to come over and fix it. If it’s going to be breaking all the time, you don’t want it anyway. I don’t do maintenance agreements or extended warranties. I self-insure through that stuff and try to buy quality items.
