Co-Sign During Divorce?

Dave recommends to never cosign on property or anything else, even when you're going through a divorce.

QUESTION: Kevin wants to know if a man going through a divorce should cosign on his soon-to-be ex-wife’s condominium property and do a quit-claim deed after the divorce is final.

ANSWER: A quit claim deed will not keep him from being liable for the note on the condos.  There is absolutely no way he should do this.
