Jason asks where to find mutual funds with a 12% rate of return.
QUESTION: Jason on Twitter asks where to find mutual funds with a 12% rate of return.
ANSWER: There are not a lot of them, but they are out there. There are 8,000 mutual funds. You have to get online and do some research or you get with an Endorsed Local Provider, but I own several mutual funds that have an average annual return in excess of 12% over the lifetime of the fund. Do they make that every year? No. That’s an average. I own one that’s done it for about 70 years. That’s what I look at and what I look for.
The stock market in general has averaged just under 12% a year since its inception. Yes, it’s doable to get that as an average annual rate of return.
