Which Ones Are Good Ones?
How does Dave determine which mutual funds are the ones to go with, and which should he stay away from?
QUESTION: Listener asks how you check on mutual funds and see if they are good funds.
ANSWER: Mutual funds provide all kinds of brochures and stuff showing what the rates of return are, and how much it’s grown over the years. That’s how I pick them. I want to see a long and good track record, along the lines of 20 years or longer. I also buy software from Morningstar, which is a mutual fund company, and it gives me the rundown on what all mutual funds are doing.
