Brian is trying to sell the house before he gets married. What is Dave's advice for doing it on a short time scale?
QUESTION: Brian is getting married in December and has been saving. He lives on a boat and his wife owns a house in Tennessee. She is moving to be with him and they are trying to figure out what to do with the house.
ANSWER: I’d put it on the market at a good, aggressive price. Clean it up nicely and try to sell it before Thanksgiving. You’re not in a position where you have to give it away. But I would be willing to sacrifice a little bit of money to have that hassle out of the life of a brand-new married couple. To heck with the cheese; just let me out of the trap. You can rent it out by next spring if you haven’t got it sold.
