We're Not Gold Diggers!
Richard wants his parents to plan their estate, but how can he do it so he doesn't look like he's money hungry?
QUESTION: Richard has a brother and their parents are almost 80. Richard and he support themselves, but they don’t know how to talk to the parents about estate planning. How can they do that without looking like gold diggers?
ANSWER: Tell them you’re not gold diggers or motivated by money, but you’re concerned about keeping the government out of what you guys have worked for. They may not want you to get involved, but it’s all right to say this is an uncomfortable subject, and we want to make sure you know what’s going on and we know what’s going on so we all know the right thing to do.
