Doing A Separate Will

Hear why Dave plugs the mirror image will as part of his estate plan.

QUESTION: Listener wants to know what Dave thinks of a separate or joint last will and testament.

ANSWER: I like a separate will, but you often do a mirror-image will. That’s where the wills say the same things and you just change the name out. My will is written to where, if I die, my wife gets everything. If we die together, everything goes to the kids. Her will is set up the same way, just with my name instead. They are very easy to do, since you are just changing the name out on them. They are also pretty cheap to do.
