Throwing Up A Block

Trevor doesn't want his child's credit to be pulled by the credit card companies at college. What can he do?

QUESTION: Trevor asks if you can put a block on a kid’s credit report before he goes to college so the credit card companies can’t get to him or her. Dave has some bad news for him.

ANSWER: No, there’s not. That’s part of them becoming an adult. When you give them car keys, you can’t put a block on what they drive. The only block is you teaching and parenting. Even then, they can still make a stupid mistake, and stupid’s not illegal. If it were, there would be a lot more jails!
