QUESTION: Aubrey in Kansas from My Total Money Makeover asks if she should even worry about Baby Step 5. She’s single and receives the G.I. Bill. Dave says you only need to worry about it once you have kids.

ANSWER: Baby Step 5 is for saving college money for your kids, not for you. You’ve got college covered. When you’re married and have children, then you start saving for college for your kids. Until then, you don’t need to save in Baby Step 5 because you don’t have any kids! You can just step right over that puppy.
