Helping Out the Kids
Roger's got one in college and one on the way, so Dave drops him some advice on being prepared to help them out.
QUESTION: Roger is 50 and has a son in college and a daughter in the 11th grade. How does he assist them and plan for college?
ANSWER: Pay for the daughter to take the ACT class until you get a great score on that test, which will help you with admissions and scholarships. Only go to schools you can afford. Don’t go to pricey schools and don’t have a champagne taste on a beer budget. As far as your son goes, hopefully he’s not going to a very expensive school. If he is, then price won’t be an issue for very long.
