QUESTION: Scarlett in Kalamazoo and her husband want to start a family, but she needs a surgery that costs $7,500. Should they stop their debt snowball to pursue the surgery? They make $50,000 a year and have about $20,000 in debt. What should they do?

ANSWER: I guess you would consult with your physician and ask if this endometriosis is a condition that you need to take care of now for multiple reasons, infertility being just one of them. Certainly, medical care is something you have to do for yourself.

If it is only infertility, then you can stop and ask questions about it as far as delaying it, but I’m probably going to do medical care first in most cases.
