Clean Out The Kid's Savings Account?

Should Florence clean out her son's savings account to fund her husband's penchant for toys?

QUESTION: Florence and her husband sold two houses and had to pay to get out of one of them. They have been putting $500 a month in their son’s savings account, and that is up to $10,000. Should they take some of that money to fund their toys? Dave tells him why he can’t help them and why they have huge marriage problems.

ANSWER: You’re the only one in the house acting like an adult. You need to sell the truck and the motorcycle. If you clean out the savings account, he’s going to buy another toy, and he’s going to sink the family. You have to address the problem. The problem is that you and your husband are not on the same page.
