Will Dave bend?

Question: John says he's an avid listener and understands Dave's take on not having credit cards. He's debt free and doing all right. He has a credit card but no debit card, and he's not getting a debit card. He is ticked by Dave not accepting credit cards so he can buy Dave's stuff for his loved ones. What will convince Dave to bend on taking a credit card?

Dave Ramsey's advice: Nothing. If I took credit cards after telling America not to use them, I would be a hypocrite. That's a lack of integrity there. I'm not going to bend, so I guess you'll have to. I'm not going to bend because my integrity is worth more than one sale ... or any sale. Don't mean to be brusk, but made you think I would bend if you're an avid listener? Have you heard me bend on anything?

Hear if Dave will bend!

I am very new to your show. I love it. I respect your decision of not taking credit cards. My husband and I own a small struggling motorcyle and atv business which had to chapter 13 credit card debt several years ago. We are debt free the rough and tough way. We too have wondered if we should accept credit cards any longer and discouraged customers from making credit card purchases at our store.

We are new to your show and just love it! We absolutely respect your decision of not accepting credit cards. My husband and I own a small motorcycle and atv repair shop. We are debt free the rough and tough way (chapter 13) 3 years ago. Since this it has come to our attention to stop accepting credit cards and very often have discouraged customers from using them at our store. We'd rather miss out on the sale.

The caller will use a credit card,
but refuses to get a debit card.
What would it take to convince him
to get a debit card and stop using
his credit cards? Why does Dave
have to be the one to change?
My opinion--the guy's an idiot!

My heart would be broken if Dave were to bend. America needs more men and women to take a stand. Thank you Dave for not bending.

Totally agree! This guy must not listen to Dave very often. Anyone who is a Dave Ramsey listener knows that Dave would never accept
credit cards. Sounds to me like this guys will never make it out of debt with this type of thinking.

I purchased Dave's stuff using a credit card.
I don't have a debit card. Just type in
the numbers. They'll be accepted.

Or buy Dave's stuff on ebay.
