A few years ago I just got tired of being broke and began to pray for a way out. It just so happened that one of my vendors in Tennessee saw a post I had put on Facebook about my situation and recommended that I read The Total Money Makeover. Well I did, and starting putting Dave's principles into place immediately. After seeing the impact that Dave's principles were having on my life, I decided to host an FPU class. I'm glad to say that in June of 2012, I completed baby step #2 while coordinating the first FPU class held at my church. It feels so good to be debt free (except for the house) at the age of 30! The process took a lot of sacrifice and discipline, and didn't go without a few bumps in the road. While working the debt snowball, my refrigerator died, but I was able to replace it with the cash that I saved in the emergency fund. Because of that, I was still able to pay off my last student loan 9 years early! Talk about gazelle intensity! God definitely answered my prayers. FPU has completely changed the way that I think about money. I'm glad that I learned this information as early as I did. Now that the debt chains are off, I'm ready to save, invest, and give like never before. Thank you Dave!
