Michelle's story

Financial Peace University literally saved my life. Or at least my sanity. Last summer, my husband of 17 years walked out on me. I was desperate. I didn't know how to make a budget much less live on one. I'd never heard of an emergency fund. I had no idea where to start. Then I took Financial Peace University. I learned how to make a workable budget. And since I had no debt, my divorce settlement went straight into my 6 month emergency fund. Those two things brought stability, and peace into the fear and chaos. But then it happened. One month after I finished FPU, I got sick. It was 5 long months before I was well enough to work again. This would have been a major emergency before I had a budget and emergency fund. While I was still a little nervous about it all, I stuck to my budget, used my emergency fund, and thanked God that I had taken FPU. FPU gave me the financial tools to provide for myself and my children, even when the unexpected happens. Gratefully, Michelle
