An Aviation Technician and Shop Owner Learns that all the tools he needs aren’t in his toolbox. While working full-time to support myself through technical school for a career in aviation as a pilot I learned some valuable lessons. One of which was universities and tech schools don’t offer much in the way of personal financial training. After working for a few years and launching my own maintenance business, I learned even more. I/we have been involuntarily thrust into a materialistic “have it now” society with which I was never very comfortable. Credit was too easy to obtain, with little emphasis of the two-headed sword of repayment. I could and did easily fall into the trap on a few occasions . Help on personal financial management was hard to find. Financial planners were more attuned to wealthy people than guys like me and any planner I met was also selling something and their advice, although possibly sound, was presented in such a dry and uninteresting manner that following it seemed more like a sentence than an opportunity. We were never big spenders and didn’t face as many of the problems that many of Dave’s followers have overcome, but the results were equally important to us. Dave’s program was a breath of fresh air in many ways. His suggestions were sound, well thought-out, and easy to understand. Dave’s program wasn’t a revelations to us, but reaffirmed our beliefs in sound and prudent financial decision-making, and gave us a continued “track to run on” for a secure financial future. And most of all, Dave made it fun and has is converting a generation of spenders to a generation of savers and investors. They and their families will be eternally grateful for this knowledge and for the guy who made it possible. Having attended the Entreleadership 1 day seminar we are deeply appreciative for all we have learned from Dave, and have happily shared it with our team members and friends. It is particularly gratifying to hear their discussions during coffee-breaks and lunch hours, when they talk about the joy of paying off their credit cards and cars and building their reserves and being less of a slave to our “have it now” society. We are glad to have the opportunity to share our success (Debt free) and have been able to implement programs in our business to inspire our team members by participating in results based bonus’s which allows them to have control of their destiny and see the value of contributing as a member of a cohesive team for the good of all. For all of this, Dave deserves our heartfelt thanks. We welcome the opportunity to attend the Entreleadership Master Series to continue with this fabulous growing journey and bring even more to all of those around us. Having not arrived at this point in my life due to just my own efforts I offer thanks to my family, team members and mentors who have allowed me to take this journey.
