We're No Longer Comfortable With Debt!

In November 2007, my brother-in-law introduced us to Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Revisited . My husband and I both devoured the book. I always thought we were doing pretty well financially. That is because I was comfortable with debt! For the first time in our marriage, we got on the same page about money. My husband now works with our budget and I pay the bills. We have not had a money argument since we started the plan.

Today, we paid off the remaining balance on our student loans and are debt-free. In less than two years, we paid off $37,565 in debt! Our combined income is $45,000 a year. It doesn't seem like those numbers can even add up, but it happened, and it wasn't even that difficult. We are so excited to save money now so we can look forward to purchasing a home.
