I am literally paying Stupid Tax to the IRS.
My father died in 2003 and left me his IRAs, which I cashed in without consulting anyone. I had always filed my own taxes, so when I found out I was going to have a large tax bill, I didn't file. I kept putting it aside, and my husband and I started a hauling business about the time fuel prices skyrocketed.
Two years into it, the business has almost bankrupted us, and we have ignored the taxes until now. We now owe about $8,000 in taxes, not including the penalties and interest.
Next week I start delivering pizza at the pizzeria around the corner from my first job. What toppings would you like on your pizza, sir?
